Project cargo from Antwerp to Northern Italy

In February 2026, PLS moved a complete project from Antwerp to Northern Italy using 13 trucks. The full operation took two weeks.

The cargo came in three parts. Six curtainsiders carried components and six flatbed trailers carried the steel floor elements. A semi-low-loader took a pressure vessel measuring 475 x 239 x 275 cm and weighing 42,250 kg.

The floor elements and the pressure vessel reached the unloading site in Italy within four days. Along the way, the convoy drove through heavy snow.

Jonas Van der Beken, Transport Manager at PLS, travelled with the convoy all the way to Italy. He supervised loading and unloading on site and stepped in where needed. The client had one point of contact who was physically there.
